Such a beautiful girl

I haven't posted on Leah's blog in awhile so I though it's about time for an update.  She is 4 and a half months old now and weighs 29 pounds.  She is such a sweet heart and we love her so much.  She loves to play with her housemate Bear ALL the time.  They have become the best of friends and I'm so glad they have each other.  She has mastered the potty training thing but still sprinkles when she gets excited.  She loves our kids so much and will lay on them and kiss them to death.  She is learning to be more confident in her adventured outside of our home with trips to the dog park, pet store and walks around our home.  We really couldn't have asked for a better puppy.  Even when she's naughty she is still so stinkin cute.

Life is tuff for this pretty girl

Chewing her ball while the puppy pines away.

How beautiful is this dog?

15 weeks

Leah is growing so fast.  She weighs 20+ pounds. Her top teeth have come out so teething is well on it's way.  She is such a happy, sweet, playful pup. We are still working on the house training, she does well for awhile and then goes in the house.  I think her health issues have made this a struggle for her but we will keep working on it.  We love her so much and can't imagine our lives without her. We can't wait to bring her to the dog parks near our home.  She is going to love running off leash with bear.

15 weeks and still so cute

13 weeks

Leah's 13 weeks old and getting so big.  This past weekend she got to have a sleepover with Grandpa Chris and Grandma Sue (they said it's okay to call them that.)  They reported that she is a great puppy.  We were so grateful that they were willing to watch her while we went camping. Leah is still on her doxy and amoxi. She is drinking a lot less which I think is a good sign.  She will go back into the vet this week for her third vaccination and a repeat urine analysis.  Hopefully it shows the meds. are working.

Pretty girl

Of course she loves chewing sticks

And what girl doesn't need a pink ball?

Oh no...brother bear wants the ball

Leah goes camping.....in the backyard

Sharing a drink with the other princess in the family

Making sure the kid's beds are just right

I think she's smiling.

12 Weeks Old today

The princess is doing great.  At 12 weeks old she weighs 16 pounds. She loves to play with her new house mate Bear who is 6 months older then her.

Brother Bear says "don't take my toy."

We have been monitoring her closely since her momma Shelby was infected with several diseases.  All the puppies in her littler have been on doxycycline since they were 7 weeks old.  Since having her cbc/ chem done at 11 weeks old, as well as a tick panel and urinalysis, Princess Leah has also started amoxicillin since she tested positive for rocky mountain spotted fever.  Her white blood count is also elevated and her liver and kidneys show signs of distress.  She is eating well and gaining weight so that is a positive.  From just looking at her you would never know she is sick.  She's a playful happy pup and we are going to work hard at to keep her that way.

Here she is today on her 12 week birthday

Feel the love

Don't hate her cause she's beautiful.
